Who would you like to apologize to you, and for what?
Ashton crossed her arms in the passenger seat and stared at her husband.
"Well, Bernard?" she asked. "Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
"I'm sorry," he replied, resignedly.
"Yes, you certainly are," Ashton huffed. "I'm glad you've finally learned how to say that, at least. But I don't think an apology is going to fix this."
Bernard looked down, and pulled up the parking brake.
"It's too late for that, wouldn't you say?" she deadpanned. "Should've done that before we started rolling."
"Yes," Bernard concluded with a nod, as the water pouring into the interior of the car reached their knees.
